Rider Education

One of the primary purposes of GWRRA and its chapters is rider education. It pertains to the Safety and Knowledge part of our motto: Friends for Fun, Safety, and Knowledge. The more knowledgeable you are, the safer you and those around you are.

Check and Track Your GWRRA Rider Education Levels

Recently, GWRRA National has made it possible for all of us to be able to track our Rider Education Levels status, riding courses and seminar information.  This site allows you to only see your information but does not allow you to change or add to it.

To access your information, go to the GWRRA National website (GWRRA.org), and then click on either Officers or Programs from the blue menu bar to see a drop down menu.  Then click on Rider Education.  On the left side of the Rider Education main page you will see a button for “My R.E. Information”.  Click on that button to access the log in page.

To log in use your membership number as the user name and the numbers of your home address plus your mem-bership expiration date as your password.  After clicking on submit, you should be able to access the information for anyone on your membership number by clicking on “View” for each person.

Please contact us if you have questions or problems accessing your information.  If there are any corrections that need to be made, please notify us via e-mail and we will forward the information on to our District Educator for correction.

Rider, Co-Rider, and Group Riding seminars.

Have you ever seen a group of motorcycles riding down the road? Were they orderly, safe, courteous, and a pleasure to watch?

In keeping with GWRRA motto: Friends for Fun Safety and Knowledge, we have guidelines for riding. Our instructors conduct seminars periodically for riders, co-riders, and group riding techniques. These seminars and their location will be announced in the calendar.

Parking Lot Practice (PLP)

Parking Lot Practice is your chance to hone your parking lot (slow speed) rider/co-rider skills. The PLP is generally scheduled for the weekend after the Chapter Gathering but refer to this Web Site for specific dates. PLP is not formal training intended to teach you how to ride. For that you need to attend a class like those put on by Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF). PLP is an informal practice session intended to increase your skill level in a safe location. There are no "Instructors" and no "pressure to perform" at PLP.

PLP is open to GWRRA members and associate members. Membership information can be found here.

Besides having a street legal and safe motorcycle, there are some other requirements:

Mentoring program
